Tag: Great Consciousness

Great Consciousness performs the processing of Universal Awareness: It is mentation, i.e. things like comprehension, discernment and intention. The Stories of Consciousness shape manifestation (whereas the Witnessing of Awareness causes the manifesting).

Great Consciousness is like the snake ouroboros – on the one hand it tells the stories which Universal Awareness makes ‘real’ by observing them; and on the other hand, it then mentally processes those perceptions, and thus keeps the stories moving, evolving, expanding… The ultimate perpetuum mobile, stories without end.

God: Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent

Monotheism says there is one God, all-knowing, all-powerful and present everywhere. In fact there is only Awareness and Consciousness, respectively the creator and the shaper of all manifestation.

Patterns of movement in Consciousness

A migration of butterflies, or a flock of birds flying, are the manifestation of a pattern in Consciousness. In humans, such impulses from broader swathes of Consciousness are very often drowned out by the cacophony of thoughts in small mind.

The Word was God

The bible states: In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. This article offers an Advaita interpretation, that God stands for the Source, Word for Universal Awareness, and Light for Universal Consciousness.

Been there. Did that. Stopped doing.

So much suffering is caused by egocentric people. But doing (performing actions) with egoistic motivation drops away when one realises that ultimately Great Consciousness is the doer of all actions.

Love and Awareness

“Love is the movement of the light away from the source, out into the unknown. Awareness is the reflection of the light, the return movement back to the source again.” This is my interpretation of how to understand this statement of Osho.

On reincarnation, karma and soap bubbles

Your body can be likened to a soap bubble, a thin membrane enclosing a lot of air molecules. These represent the experiences, convictions and belief patterns which make up ‘you’. When you die, these units return as a host of patterns to the infinite ocean of Consciousness from whence they were enclosed.

An experience plus quantum based model of existence – the model

This article describes briefly the three instances which I propose as the basis and source of all existence: The Absolute, Universal Awareness and Great Consciousness. For each instance, I briefly explain why I state or suggest it.

Is Great Consciousness compassionate?

Great Consciousness is, prior to experience which shapes it, immature and as such totally capable of being as nasty as the worst we can observe. It is the more experienced facets of Great Consciousness which are compassionate, in the same way that each of us can develop compassion as we mature by reflecting on our experiences.
